I think we at the point now where this is a valid conversation. Just in the sense that there's fatigue rn for his usual style of albums. He has to at least try different album structures at this point.
You remember that thread about how Donda is a concept album about Kanye being trapped in a basement or sumn and asking Donda for help? I'm sure we could do that with CLB
Also not every artist is meant to make concept albums but I agree it could be dope if he does it right
tbh yall just wanna b****, this was different and fresh and it has a cohesive theme throughout lmao
CLB is a concept album about women getting pregnant through immaculate conception by listening to the album

Tbh I know Donda's not a concept album tbh and I like Drake music and like the album. This is more looking for how I think Drake would break through the critic glass ceiling if you will.
Drake has already done everything he could do in music. It’s too late in his career to make a concept album and I doubt he has the creative drive to do so anyway.
I think he should retire.

I don’t think he should retire on this album
He’s gotta give us something solid before he hangs it up

I'm not b****ing tbh. I like the album. I'm discussing this as someone who just thinks that Drake gets wayy too much flak for someone who can rap like on Champagne Poetry and The Remorse. So, the problem isn't the pen obvi. The problem, I think, is the lack of real artistic meat to sink your teeth into for critics. The music just straight speaks for itself for better or worse. If you didn't like Drake before, you definitely didn't start after this album. Regardless, I think that album(the critic darling) is definitely within reach cos it's mostly about sequencing and a commitment to a concept.

Bruh, I’m good with what I got
man what do yall want from drake. He's a pop rapper. He will never make a cohesive short concept album again.

Fatigue where based on what ? KTT?

Twitter. The critic thing don't sit right with my soul. I know Drake has the music in him to woo that class. I'd also like that music too. So why not make that album?
I think Drake can woo the artistic demo. He got the words for it. It's in him. I wanna hear it. I'll continue bumping what he's giving me though cos I like it.

My Twitter is nothing but positivity . This album seems to be the best received since IYRTITL off of first impressions
Given how toxic Twitter is towards drake usually
