Yesterday I learned one of my drill sergeants committed suicide. I didn’t love him or anything. I barely even knew him. As a matter of fact when I was in basic training I hated his f***ing guts.

But him dying affected me so much because it taught me something very important. At the end of the day, you will have to deal with your decisions. This guy selflessly served his country and at the end of the day what he witnessed in the Army ended up making him kill himself. Nobody that patted him on the back and said “Thank you for your service” was there when he was about to end it.

Today I learned a very important lesson. F*** what anyone says about you or your decisions. F*** what your parents, your friends, or the world has to say. F*** everyone. Your decisions and your life is YOURS ALONE.
