Yeah a movie that sacrificed being a poignant straightforward noir crime tale about overcoming vengeance out of trauma - to include a whole slapped on fourth act with a city destruction action finale, sequel teasing and a Joker cameo is not a capeshit popcorn flick

It’s just capeshit with more intricate writing and a grounded tone

At the end of the day it’s still a superhero film

The Batman set up a spin-off for a secondary villain

If that doesn’t scream post-Avengers comic book filmmaking I don’t know what does
