And not the trades like variety or hollywood reporter giving lists of who’s up for it, saying when people are self-taping, reporting who’s no longer in the running, future articles about who it’s now down to. All in real time as the process is happening. This isn’t common. Lame for all of the girls, for the casting director and for Gunn. Just an overall bad thing

Eh I remember plenty of times in the past where this was the case. When they were casting for Spider-Man in Civil War, casting for The Batman, Wonder Woman in BvS, etc.

I remember hearing Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, and a couple other names. Then another report came out that Asa was out. Then another one said it came down to Tom and another kid. Then it was confirmed to be Tom.

It's been like that for some time. I just think the speed at which information travels today makes it seem like it's happening much more. But also, not everyone and their mother was making comic book movies a decade ago so it felt more rare for these reports to come out

Me personally I dont mind the casting reports, It's fun and hella interesting to me.

Im dating myself but I remember rooting for my dawg Anton Yelchin to get the Spider-Man role during the TASM castings before Garfield got it.

Side note RIP to Anton Yelchin man, tragedy only 27, if he lived, he would have had a dope career almost similar to where Miles Teller or Paul Dano is now. Life ain't fair man.
