TheFaderTheir only uber successful films as of late are their sequels that rely on nostalgia bait. If you want a true test of where the MCU is currently at culturally, let’s judge how Brave New World, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four performs.
People seriously don’t seem too excited for those first two.
The MCU has been on top for 17 years; it’s not gonna last forever, it’s gonna have to come down at some point. Even Star Wars’s brand has culturally gone down in recent years.
I really think we may be on the precipice of DC becoming the #1 comic book movie studio
i agree with this take. i dont see a lot of hype for those movies but we’ll see
all in all, im rooting for the success of both franchises and hopefully DC putting out good films motivates MCU to put out equally good if not better content
