Great observation, I never hear anyone talk about this. To me it looks just as fake and weightless as some of Snyder's CGI heavy visuals.

I feel like snyders CGI overall got worse. I think Man Of Steel was the peak.

My theory is that it's easier to put cgi elements into a shot when it's lacking a lot of shadows, which is why the mandolorian and cbm have a lot of overcast shots. And it's the lack of contrast that makes s*** look even weirder and mushier
