Been waiting forever for them to finally show this after they announced it 3 years ago and nothing but silence since. And of course its 1st person, which I hate but probably is best for this sort of game.

Makes sense coming this year with the new movie. I thought this s*** was canceled lol.

Kinda hate that they're going for the most obvious, easy to adapt, and worst of all generic movies for this s***. Like okay, quiet place. Yup..... Cool. Sneaking..... Hiding....... Maybe even scavenging! No violence either cuz the monsters are too strong! Apocalyptic setting!! Much excite !!

Like cmon man. I get it, "creativity vs profit", but Jesus Christ. Just a waste of taxpayer dollars. Burning the candle on both ends too. Cuz we have s*** like the silent Hill remake just being gutted of all style for....... Money? Losing the fans? Idk. And then on the other side you have this, just booooooring.

Very excited for .... Press r1 to hold breath ... And watch out for those suspiciously places piles of glass shards guys....

He doesn't have to play it. He claimed the quiet place series generic or something. Ok hes entitled to his opinion, but millions of people love that universe and cant wait to see the new movie and play this game. Plus, he has no idea what else the game will allow you to do. All they have shown is this teaser.

And why would the glass shards be "suspiciously placed" like old dude claimed? It's a post apocalyptic world people been running through, fighting, getting killed, breaking s*** etc through these areas so it makes sense for it to be a mess with s*** everywhere. And I havent played a game in a while that let's you hold your breath (you dont know if that's a feature) To your other point, if there isnt much combat because the monsters are too strong (we dont know this either) then that actually makes it extremely different compared to the average action game lmao

It's not like it's trying to be this brand new thing. It's based off a movie and will be story driven. So uptight learn how to have fun and enjoy something to each their own though your not forced to play it

I got an idea of what the game can be based on from the creative confines of the universe they've created. You're right, every one is entitled to their opinion. I feel like the movies are okay at best. But one thing is that I felt as if they're derivative. I feel that a game would encapsulate similar feelings. No studio is doing a giant AAA undertaking for this. So that means it's AA at best. That means, short, sneaking based (so they don't have to develop combat, and if they do it'll be rudimentary). That means they have to cash in on the one slightly unique facet of the IP (you have to be quiet or they'll kill you, not really unique either), so that means holding your breath like death stranding, or like the Friday the 13th video game, or not stepping on glass, or doing QTEs perfectly to not fumble and drop s***. It's been in video games before. Glass would also be on the floor to very obviously convey the destroyed state of the world, and to obscure paths so you can't run freely to sneak. You're right, I don't know if they'll be features, I'm assuming that they understand the assignment and add the stuff that makes the IP the IP

I love horror games and horror movies. Blumhouse just announced they're getting into video game development/publishing, these guys are obviously doing it, we've got the TCM and killer clowns game, there's a lot of good. It'll make money because it's a popular IP, and I don't give a s*** about the metrics of that. I like creative, good video games that provide unique experiences. This just doesn't seem unique to me. Saying I'm uptight for wanting unique games is crazy coming from the OP shilling the game and telling me I should like it because it's a popular IP

Edit: IGN says "Gameplay revolves around hiding, distracting, and sneaking past the monsters, while of course trying not to make a sound." That sounds like exactly what I said, which to be fair, is obvious based on the confines of the IP

You dont have to like it. Look into the games that are more up your alley. And who cares if its AA or AAA? AA games can be good.

You like this game releasing is stopping any other games you like from coming out. I along with probably many others have wanted a game set in this universe, if for nothing else but the story. Every game doesn't have to be groundbreaking to be fun or a success. Like I said, not up your alley, the game can stay on the shelf. I for one am willing to give it a chance.
