strange choice for lead single on ur first project in almost a decade

with a lead single that feels like it’s 10 years ago from a genre he doesn’t belong to

    fascinating

You’ve heard one song on a 17 track album

I just don’t like that the song he’s deciding to push the album with sounds like it was made in the same session as Sundress

  • This is just very okay

  • Zokkon

    Crine this song sounds like

    You peeped it lol

Why is the title ā€œASAP Rocky and Tim Burtonā€?. I know he did the cover art, but is this some sort of collab album,

Credited to just Rocky on streaming services, so it doesn't need to be. He just wanted to highlight Burton doing the cover (and presumably rest of the physical art direction) by putting his name on it.

    Gosh

I mean this with all due respect

But asap Rocky’s music was never the most intellectual

Pretty hard to dumb down something that never aimed to be super smart

I get get my d*** licked
I whip whip my main b****
I fix fix my same grits
I hit hit the crack fix

    Typa flow

  • It’s just a good song with a well made video. Not everything has to be that deep or groundbreaking.

That sounds better then ā€œi made more off Fenty then ive made off my entire music career f*** yallā€

Just played the OldNigga stream you were on the other day, happy that you fought the good fight against them Hitboy/MidBoy beats

& bringing up the lack of cool rappers & the homogenised/indescript soubd origin of alot of late/modern internet musicians

You said he’s not tryna make music in the rap scene anymore… this is one song on a 17-track album (an album that has already been revealed to bounce genres)

Rocky is one of my favorite rappers of all-time

This guy’s music was never intellectually-challenging

It’s always been about the vibes and aesthetics with him since day one

I do think that when an artist pivots to a style of music they don't normally do, they often don't put as much effort into doing an interesting version of that sound and sort of coast on 'Hey! It's ME doing THIS!' instead of thinking like an artist who's been working in that lane for a long time

    ! ! ! ! !

This is true, but it also doesn’t mean that every time an artist dabbles in another genre that it has to be some super authentic and 100% accurate take on it, at the end of the day it’s their interpretation of the genre
