Y'all keep saying he's being "fake artsy" and like...he's been on this wave since ALLA. That will be five years ago this month. It's pretty safe to assume that it isn't "fake" (whatever that actually means in this context) and this is just who he is now.

I will never really understand why people are so against Rocky doing different s***. Dude is just growing as an artist. Don't know how that's a bad thing or why that's "fake artsy"(again whatever tf that even means) to y'all. He's still been bragging on his songs and albums too so I really don't understand what y'all complaining about

Rocky was never really “hood” tho lol

Yams even said early on he was influenced a lot by backpack rappers like cudi and ye but yams mixed that sound with what he knew and grew up with.

Rocky’s new music is more of himself than his vision combined with yams and some people can’t get over that lol

I’m not defending this song just saying people are expecting a sound that he isn’t on anymore and it’s that simple.

I mean ... he’s still rapping about the same s*** since the beginning, I don’t think it’s changed much at all except he has actual song concepts and songwriting now. He’s more personal and introspective if anything. He’s been rapping about f***ing, smoking, taking acid and women since the first tape. I don’t really get this argument
