it’s not necessarily Carti who used AI but the guy who wrote his verses recorded himself doing the verses & used AI to voice swap himself with Carti’s voice as a demo
the AI demos leaked, and they’re very clearly the same vocals used on the final versions of those songs. The Weeknd at least had the decency to re-record his REAL vocals on them, but Carti just straight up left the AI verses in & added some ad libs

Hypothetically, let’s say this video was created with no use of ai and Rocky and his team just went crazy with the editing like we know him to do. Does it look like cheap ai art? Does is look on par to what Rocky usually puts out or is this just lazy cheap art?
I don’t have the answers, I just want to know what ppl really think of the video itselfdefinetly lower quality than his other videos, tailor swif does this concept infinitely better

it’s really obvious that guy has a pro-AI agenda to push, and if he’s not getting paid for it, he certainly posts like he is

yes. it does look like cheap ai art.
at the 2:07 mark he resembles travis scott moreso than he does himself. several close up shots afterward dont even retain rocky's likeness.
hardly any of this moved me and it's obvious the extent of his inspo here is "mix harlem with midsommar and (still dont understand the obsession) tim burton's alice in wonderland" lol. all the moments captured through human camera work actually have soul, everything else would've had more impact if he allowed someone w actual filmmaking prowess to just do thing and find a physical means of bringing his vision to life
no. it's not on par with what he usually puts out.
gunz n butter, l$d, jd, put that on my set, tailor swif - all better vids in similar thematic territory. and ultimately this ends by resorting to nostalgia and ai-rendering scenes from his old videos. imagine what that could've been if he just re-did them in person, creatively reworked the old footage wit actual practical/vfx artists, or abandoned the idea altogether n came up w some new s*** inspired by those moments..

Since when has it ever been a requirement for art to have context to like it and/or appreciate it? I hate these ai arguments online because it’s like pulling teeth just getting someone to judge the OUTPUT of a video and not just say that it’s ai so its invalid all together. I just think that’s bullshit and a cop out. AI is a lot of different things. It’s a tool with potential that can result in lazy work, but not every piece of media created with ai is inherently bad or lazy in my opinion

what actually happened is somebody posted something you didn't like. it is completely normal for there to be discourse on this site, he didn't derail the thread. does his take suck? sure, but people will tell him that. it's just cringe that you're acting like some hero and over explaining "the context". i did not see something posted that merits a ban. i definitely see s*** posted occasionally that does, and that wasn't it
