I remember in Trilogy he had a deeper tone and would sing from the chest more. This would give his vocals a more fuller feel and fill the beat. Then he would mix.it up with amazing falsetto.

Yeah I think he’s definitely grown as a live performer in a lot of ways but one thing that annoys me is that he doesn’t use his head voice live at all anymore. Everytime there’s a section involving head voice or falsetto, he just belts it instead of singing it how it is on the studio version.

Maybe it’s to give some variation to the live versions of these songs or maybe it’s to protect his voice, I’m not sure, but this song is a good example of it:

i don't think it applies to the head voice. he sings in it quite a bit. he doesn't sing live falsettos at all though. last time he did was coachella 18. me and @dest31 been debating why he's belting them instead of singing them normally. feel like it would be easier and healthier

His delivery was annoying sometime in 2015 yes but he's pretty much perfected it now. It's different to how he was in 2011 but it's far better than 2015/2016 and it shows clearly in his live performances from then to now

he used to have insane head voice belts that were sometimes hella pitchy but it kinda had its charm. he doesn't really perform those songs anymore so its hard to tell how it would sound now. but he definitely has more control over his voice at this stage.
