Dec 26, 2021I have two takes about this movie - First one is that Adam simply failed to make atleast one character for whom we can feel sorry. And alternatively maybe the point is that in the face of such catastrophe everyone looks silly, dumb etc.

Like some journalist going “yeah ok I see what you were trying to do but I don’t think you really conveyed the end of mankind in a way that was artistic enough for me to care
“Like it feels as if I’m just watching another scene play out live
The overall point was beaten over the head and ultimately it bummed me out in its relentlessness but I can’t fault the movie for it either. Sometimes it’s justifiable and I don’t think there’s really a true right or wrong way to convey these concepts
