They see a couple of experimental artists like Ye and Twigs and suddenly think every artist should be reinventing the wheel when those artists are and should always be the exception.
Adele doesn’t need to do something out of left field and billions of people around the world don’t want something super different.
They’ve waited 6 years for her to come out of hibernation and give them more of the Adele that they love.

One has absolutely zero growth
This is a really weird thing to say when, regardless of wherever or not their liked or disliked CLB, the majority of the people that listened to that album all say “Same old Drake on this album”.
I liked CLB but you can’t sit here and tell me Drake’s done anything drastically with his music since IYRTITL.

Yeah you get it bro. I think the music landscape is missing that with genre fluidity being so economically ideal these days, but stylistic consistency is a risk in of itself, especially if your resume doesn't include going triple diamond off of one album lol
