21 wasn’t just her best album. It’s an all time great record commercially and in the realm of pop/r&b

It’s just disappointing to see her phoning it in an living off the success of that album and then seeing people eat it up which incentivizes her to continue putting in minimal effort

It’s much easier for big artists to chart in 2021 than it was in 2011. We’ll see how her singles from 30 hold up.

Who hating on this. As far as I’m concerned Adele never dropped a bad album imo. Yeah she doesn’t go to out of her comfort zone but she delivers in quality.

25 and 30 barely have any clear cut singles. 21 was an album where even if you haven’t heard it in years you can go back and still remember the hook for 8+ songs

There’s a clear change in songwriting that took place. I do want more 21, it’s the reason she’s at this level to begin with. If she bursted onto the scene with 25 her career would be 1/4 what it is now.

Just think someone like Duffy does this style much better. I’d like to see Adele be ADELE if you feel me

i listened to 25 yesterday and was surprised to find out i know a lot of the words to Hello, Send My Love, Water Under the Bridge and When We Were Young. i would say those stuck, if not simply for the fact we heard them a million times.

idk if that will be the case for this one or not. i think for 25 she was consciously trying to compound the success of 21 (which she did) and the music reflected that, but 30 is more of a confessional, full album experience.

it's cool if it ain't your bag and you find others in her lane that suit you better, at least you gave it a try

Listening to this album and so far, the music is truly backing up the acclaim it’s receiving.

Sonically, it’s on another level for her. Im glad.
