I love how they kind of wrapped a lot of the theories up or at least in so many words and plot devices said, “Yeah, you guys were right. We’re really into reincarnation” lol This is seriously one of the heaviest series ever. I’m currently reading the Gita and it’s just wild to see some of it’s themes play out in a show like this. I’m sure it was a big influence along with Eastern religion and philosophy in general. I’m happy to know that at least in this universe, Finn and Jake will always be together “The fun never ends”
Binged all 3 distant lands episodes in one sitting, forgot how much I loved this show. I should probably watch it again over the summer holiday. Also, this show seriously doesn't get enough praise for its worldbuilding, the creative team behind this is A1.
I'm really glad these Distant Lands episodes are so well done. I always thought the finale was pretty average/disappointing in the scope of the show and fans who watched the whole thing deserved an excellent wrap up.
shook.
i cried at every Distant Land episode
this one got me bawling tho.
That last fist bump
Even thinking about it now makes me emotional lmao just the excitement they had about essentially “running it back” on life knowing they could come back as beetles or some s*** but it didn’t matter cause they’d always have each other no matter what it makes the actual finale with them as shermy and Beth hit even harder. Every detail about this show ties back in to the unending cycle of life, death, and reincarnation whether be the actual title of the show, the lyrics to it’s theme, or even the last song Rebecca Sugar wrote for the finale “Time Adventure” it’s just f***ing beautiful man. Looking back the entire show feels like it’s trying to teach it’s audience to embrace the idea of death. It’s just kind of wild and beautiful
never finished this show been forever since i watched it but the finn and jake episode really made me sad tho. Reminded me that my childhood is really over. Miss being a kid man....
Just watched
Aaaahhh this s*** was beautiful. Kinda bittersweet with everyone gone and the new world popping up

So many unanswered questions tho, like why was PB a statue and where is Ice King

Well. Simon is most likely still looking for Betty and alive since he's immortal now.
So many unanswered questions tho, like why was PB a statue and where is Ice King
We still have one more episode, let’s hope they answer those questions in that one
