All valid points. No one is beyond critique tho.

Some countries will do anything to avoid gaining a racist reputation even though it means protecting scumbags like those killers.

    Awful and saddening.

Still I dont know how I feel about you guys making a thread everytime a black person is killed. Also what is up with that weird "the rest of the world is just as bad" attitude.

This case is not considered as hate crime by the police, even if the killers are known nazis.

As far as I know denmark considers hate crime only for discrimination and hate speech. Murder is obviously a worse crime so it wouldnt matter to charge for hate crime too. They are obviously gonna get locked up for this. So I dont see the issue.

Disgusting news. RIP, Phillip. I hope his family/friends are able to push for justice.

OP, are you Danish? I am googling Phillip’s name but literally nothing comes up, which is kind of remarkable considering the very clear cut case of the story. I google translated the articles too and they barely feel aggrieved - it’s as if they have to write about the murder rather than that they actually want to (could be a translation problem there I’m not sure).

Like @Courtside says the story needs some internet coverage to get the ball rolling. It’s nowhere to be seen anywhere no matter what I’m searching.

You don’t see the issue of how two men who are quite openly Neo-Nazi, who have killed a man of African descent, in doing so mocking the death of another man of African descent — has been declared to not be a hate crime? You see no issue in that?

Irrespective of whether or not they are charged with murder there is clearly a huge ramification of the case. It suggests a precedent in the country of lessening the impact of hate crime. Racism has mostly festered itself in more insidious manners in the past few years, but allowing straight up overt racism like this to pass under the guise of simple murder is batshit crazy, and invariably allows things like this: icenews.is/2015/06/26/denmark-is-most-intolerant-country-in-northern-europe

That's the issue! The media and police are not releasing any infomation of this case to the public. No one knows who they are. I had to do my own research on facebook to see who the victim and killers were. And yes, I live in Denmark, and we are so bad at getting things rolling on the internet. Twitter is not a big social media here. This story is slowly fading away. While 15.000 people protested in Copenhagen for George Floyd, they don't know how to react for their own citizens.

No yeah I see the issue now. Basically hiding the motives of the killers by claiming it to be murder in front of the public.

    Damn RIP.

I also hate the fact people only cares about black lives in US. Black people are dying of racism around the world too. Police concludes this as a murder with NO RACISM attached. Just an unfortunate fight that leaded to death. Neo-nazis are getting away with racism in Denmark.

what's insane is that zimmerman's mom is literally afro-peruvian, he has direct african ancestry similarly related but the amount of non-white neonazis is really something else. s*** is crazy to wrap your head around

Of course, they do... moreover, I do bet that if the Black man were killed in my country, the same s*** would occur, unfortunately; feds will be feds forevermore; therefore, as far as I’m concerned, we ought to defund them all at the very least.
May peace be upon him and all the other victims of racism explicitly.
