Then when you finally come of age and have the money to dabble in d**** and w****s

You pretty much summed up what it is. People will delegate us like we're bitter boomers but the reality none of his new stuff is touching trilogy.
The Idol soundtrack is probably the most impressive thing he's done since Kissland.
BBTM- Mid. Take away the standouts and it's an album full of reference tracks.
Starboy- Nostalgic but I was doing a lot of d**** so everything sounded good. In hindsight it had some duds. Still a good 7.5-8/10 album,
After hours - first Weeknd album I heard sober - Also mid. Definitely some high moments on here though. The title track and Blinding lights had me thinking we were in for a Modern Day Thriller.
Dawn FM - Take my breath and the promo/visuals leading up to this album were great. Too bad the album wasn't.
Been on board since 2011. I even think my first posts on KTT were of me, taking pics with The Weeknd before he blew up for in Seattle and talking with the band members. I say that to say this dude's music will always have a special place in my heart. That said, if I were to have checked in around the BBTM era I would have put him in that Bruno Mars, Miguel lane when clearly he is much more than that. Unfortunately up until this Idol soundtrack, a lot of his newer music doesn't reflect that

As usual in our times, he sacrificed artistic integrity for “the bag”
