my answer would prolly be the strokes

amazing songwriting. every song topically is such an anxiety blast and really spoke to me when i was into it. just dark and edgy lyrically but not overwhelmingly childish. kurt f***ing yells on that one and it sounds amazing. music is insanely good, novoselic is a very underrated bassist in my opinion. drumming up a clinic all the way through that one too, they had dale crover on some of those songs which is amazing. sounds so vastly different from their next album but still so great on its own

they made great songs so effortlessly

feel like discog talk is up in the air, but as far as impact strokes essentially had that same effect in influences as the band they were heavily inspired by which are the velvet underground
