Now that everything has settled in my mind, I’m starting to truly appreciate this era in general even with all this s*** going on in the world maybe Abel is parallel to the world where we’re going through a pandemic that makes people into madmen and especially with Uncut Gems still being fresh on everyone’s mind this world is a f***ing mad house and that’s exactly how’d I describe this masterpiece of a collection of songs.
Did you miss the widespread outrage when it got snubbed?
Its probably the most well received album this year besides Fionna Apple
I love this album to death. My second favorite Weeknd album so far. However it’s getting the acclaim it deserves. Acclaim from critics and fans. The Grammys are facing so much backlash from everyone because they snubbed him. It’s already iconic.
its literally the most popular album of the year

not true legends never die
not true legends never die
dont get me wrong Legends never die is pretty good album but it is not even close to how great After Hours is.
I feel like it's been getting tons of praise, from the reviews to various outlets putting it in their top 5 albums of the year. Only snub it has gotten is from the grammys.
MDM > afterhours
MDM > afterhours
It's strange. Every song in MDM is great, but I think After Hours is better even when I'm not crazy over every song in it. After Hours just works better as a cohesive unit. It tells a story throughout.

I love a lot of songs on after hours individually, dont really care for it as an album for some reason. Ill just play random songs on it instead of letting it rock all the way thru. Was listening to mdm today and i told my girl "yeah this is his best project" after being convinced that it was kiss land or eos for years
Try Me & Too Late type Abel underrated imo

Try Me is the best song on MDM, hands down
