If you want the truth, nothing in the world will consistently keep them away except regularly monthly visits from a pest control company
Also, DO NOT SPILL FOOD ANYWHERE. If you drop a single crumb of anything get a whole vacuum and dustpan and make sure you get every single speck. Make sure all your trash cans in your apartment have lids too

After what I thought felt like one jump on my leg I organized all the boys in my room to get the ass up. We spent 4 hours hunting rats in the hostel
We caught and killed 8 rats that night. Fun times looking back but I’d never go back

Had some rats in my backyard a while ago. Caught one in a cage and had no clue what to do with it but knew that mfer had to die. Had genuinly no clue what the cleanest way to kill it was so ended up pouring boiling water on it to kill it as it made no mess
