this type of s*** already hitting finance sections of companies. the old place where i worked at outsourced their AR and U.S. tax filing departments to other companies and laid people off

yea I’m glad I got out of the private equity field, a lot of kissing ass for at-will employment that can be rug pulled at any time like you described

its WFH first, but then you will get weekly meeting invites and webinairs about how cool and hip the AI is and how fast and better you can work with it

and (hopefully not) then comes the lay-offs, after people do the dirty job like documentation and training models

honestly resist the urge to panic, and just grind on linkedin an hour a day for the next couple of months. Some great opportunities might pop up
