akademiks does the exact same thing people on internet forums and twitter do when discussing rap/rappers

only difference is hes got his own platform to do it on

    “Why is he disrespected”

“Ak & Cole Bennet are big reasons why Hip-hop looks the way it looks now (good or bad)”

  • Apr 13, 2021

Ak contributes nothing original, if he disappeared tomorrow his spot could easily be filled

  • At the end of the day it’s jealousy and envy that he made millions doing what we do for free on this forum.

And don’t give me that “he promoted toxicity” line either like mubu krump, melly, keef, Reese, Von, Yungeen ace don’t all promote and make songs or ig lives about dead teenagers.

He saw an opportunity and he took it 🤷🏾‍♂️

very mix feelings about Akadmiks at one side he product of the internet age and doing things himself which I can always respect in other side he did promote Chiraq and some of uglier sides hip hop/music industry in general but I guess that’s his job

but yea some ktt users would love to be AK shoes right now

  • I hate to say this but no jumper probably did more for upcoming artists than AK

    Let's see, he:

-Profited off of dead/incarcerated Chicago rappers and gang members
-Worked with known abuser Joe Budden
-Played a vital role in the rise of 6ix9ine
-Has made disparaging comments about women in the music industry
-Gaslights rappers in general then plays the victim when checked
-Got his girl taken by Lil Tracy and still let her live in his house
    -Is an loser

I don’t like the fact that he played a role in turning the death of black men in Chicago to entertainment media fir other races to consume.

Imo he is a big part of the reason why that s*** has spread the way it has and a nigga like that gets no respect from me.

    F*** him

We made it popular, you can’t promote something that people don’t want to consume.

If people were really offended about it they wouldn’t listen to it, full stop.

Ak single handedly brought Chiraq to the limelight with the War in Chiraq series.

He pushed & covered artists like Uzi, X, Kodak, Yachty when everybody else was busy calling them ”mumble rappers” and ”lil dudes with colored dreads”

Alot of phrases although he didn’t come up with he popularized

Ak is a big reason why alot of these artists were able to build a cult fanbase

    Really dumb post

  • Apr 13, 2021

Not a fan of his journalism. Very lazy and counter-productive. You can say he shed light on the chiraq violence but his commentary suggests he was mocking & exploiting. He couldve covered it with way more integrity. I also dont find him funny and he is a ‘comedian’ 80% of the time

I liked his chemistry with Budden cos i feel like he had to be slightly more serious when talking about topics cos he was being checked for it. But he never really learned from it and ended up teaming with the biggest troll in 6ix9ine lol

Yeah him talking about the soundcloud age of rappers probably help them keep some relevancy but he isnt the sole voice or reason why some of them are still successful

Why do yall bring up abuse in hip hop like the genre not full of niggas that BEAT THE F*** out they b****es

  • Apr 13, 2021

Ak is a reflection of the people that discuss rap online, he started out as an overly excited fan boy that frequently crossed lines fans have a bad habit of crossing and then clamming up when pressed🤷🏿‍♂️

He’s changed since then but that’s what stuck. he got his career out the mud so you gotta respect him off that

More like white suburban kids. Look at the YouTube perform now. White kids commenting on gang s***.

Even his comment section is full of people that don’t respect Hip Hop and women. They all think it’s funny calling Meg, Marcus... wow that’s so funny 🙄

F*** outta here with your s***ty opinions.

    Come on man,

It’s not just white kids that are f***ing with drill and you know it.

We all have agency over our consumption. I’m not gonna say anything becuase I listen to it too.

The way I see it, these dudes are gonna keep doing what they do, whether or not someone listens to thier music .

The problems that led them to that lifestyle are a massive failure of government and nothing to do with a fat chipmunk on YouTube, but I guess that’s another discussion.

    1) so have most people in rap.

    2) plenty of people in rap have been accused of being 'abusive'. And many rappers have worked/talked with budden

    3) so did A Boogie, Nicki, Lil Baby, Bobby Shmurda etc by working with him

    4) 99% of rappers make disparaging comments about females so thats a ridiculous comment to make. Women have been called hoes, b****es and have been looked at as nothing more than s***objects to be placed in videos for decades

    5) most rappers are fake, and only act tough on the internet. Why should the rules change for a blogger?

The difference between him and rappers is that you look cooler defending them then a dude who got cucked by Lil Tracy
