I personally think Ak does plenty of s*** for clout. But he has the perfect plausible deniability. So I have always fully believed Drake was putting little tidbits in his ear simply for the exact reason that he has the platform to be heard at least in the rap community but he’s also goofy enough that it’s easy for most to assume there’s no way he’s telling the truth and write it off but Drake simultaneously knows that the ones really watching for info READ: all of us b****es here on KTT will see it and the tiny number of people who do believe it get to feel some sort of “connection” to the process as fans. I’m sure many will say he can’t possibly give a f*** about giving info out just for KTT, but I disagree. Obviously it won’t do anything for sales numbers but I think since there’s no longer OVO blog posts to keep updated and the like, he may choose to do this to be able to set a tone leading up to drops for that small section of his more hardcore fanbase. Clearly this is just one tiny corner of the internet but we know for a fact that he knows of it and at the very least, others in his camp are confirmed on here and presumably also the man himself (my guy has extensive background roasting motherfuckers on the music forums back in the day before KTT1 or 2 ever existed, I imagine @Vietbrah may have receipts for this) so yeah. I think Budden might’ve been meant to be the Akademiks at one point too but I guess we’ll never know
