there's no repercussions (not that im inciting violence or anything) nowadays with spreading false info, you only get traction and views by doing just that. gossip & rumour industry has been around for a while so it's nothing new really.

bruh its 2021...if an artist wanted to drop the next hour they could...they don't have to submit release dates/deadlines to people anymore like before. anytime someone other than the artist talks about a release date it should be taken with a large grain of salt.

if you're a big artist you can have a song distributed in all the streaming services in 24h. if you're less known it's going to be 2-3 weeks which still is quick.
