    That's not how it works in the music industry. Labels give them early access for positive reviews and that's the only reason. If anything it shows that he was desperate for some help.

    Why did he feel the need to receive quick reviews? Why couldn't they just sit with the album like the rest of us and tell us their opinions after a week or so?

    There’s no guarantee the reviews would’ve been positive lol

    I had Drake on my top 8 MySpace friends

    As a huge Drake fan I’m just extremely disappointed how he approached this beef and I think that’s a valid feeling

    Like there’s an alternate universe where Drake never lost his juice after ML and the beef didn’t hurt his reputation so much because he could fall back on the music. Kendrick’s allegations filled the cultural void that Drake’s lack of meaningful music has left since 2018. It’s easy to sway people when you’re currently known more for being an influencer than any good music.
