I don't think it's from a place of mysteriousness. Most artists naturally are predisposed to being introverted asf, it's a trope and well known stereotype for a reason. Not really sociable like that or just "very chill."
I actually think most artists are kinda boring in interviews than not tbh. I tried to listen to a brat podcast with charli and I turned it off in like the first 10 minutes cause...it was just kinda boring.
Like I said, can't be great at everything.
yea most definitely, I agree. that's why i think docs that just show the artists creative process or have people who observe these artists in depth are probably the best way to go about it. it's sometimes really hard to talk about the art that you do WHILE you're still doing it you know?

and no it's not about whether he addresses the beef cause he can be engaging without ever doing that. Loved clips of Vince Staples last year from interviews talking about everything but the beef.
2pac was a very engaging person. His own homeboy scHoolboy q is an engaging person. Earl is an engaging person. Mavi is an engaging person. Vince Staples is an engaging person. @YoungNastyShawty interview with Robb Bank$ was one of my fav interviews cause Robb is an engaging person (but also YNS is a great interviewer that can make anyone engaging)
Kendrick is just a very surface level person (in interviews) and that comes off in interviews as very boring. Cole is too but he can be at least "somewhat" engaging. Drake out of the big 3 is the most engaging in interviews because he naturally is the one that is most accustomed to speaking/charisma.

agreed never got boring from his interviews at all. Even the softball questions kendrick still gives great answers most the time
