The streaming era was bound to be pretty volatile in its earliest stages him choosing AM was a risk yeah but once these labels started doing business with these streaming platforms, he received plenty of favor and it’s not just because he was the top artist in rap but also because he was the top artist both companies were banking on. One hand washes the other. Both hands wash the face.

This isn’t me implying Drake doesn’t have control of his career, but both UMG and Drake were in business because of what the other could do for them. And that includes everything that’s under the umbrella term of “distribution”. Drake isn’t above the program, he might’ve took it as far as anyone could go tho.

Honestly, it was boring.

Most people that speak in favor of it can only say "you didn't get it", but that's it. Went "above your head" and s*** like that.

I don't understand why fans cannot admit Kendrick is not an artist whose real talent will be processed immediately and understood in 13 minutes?

People also going above and beyond with "symbolism". Maybe every tiny thing was intentional, but it makes me wonder who is this for?

The "message" that fans say was directed straight to maga was not understood.

Honestly, I adored Kendrick at one point, but could not understand him majority of the time for this performances. It's nothing new-- most songs under live performances, the lyrics in total are not audibly understood. Especially a live performance that is then broadcasted.

Anyway, so in the end, if this is really about "sending a message", it was sent in another language without a decoder. I don't feel the targeted audience is gonna bother.

As an entertainment, the set up and dancing was nice. The songs were kinda boring, but that's just in my imo.

It's absolutely irresponsible on their part because the data on Biden's approval ratings was already out. Many Americans were not f***in with him like they thought. Them deciding to forego a Democratic primary despite knowing how low the chances of him winning again were is a complete and total failure of that party and shows just how disconnected they are from what the actual average American wants.

One thing I didn’t like about the performance was when he fake pumped NLU and said something about the lawsuit.
If he had performed the song straight up as the second to last song with no extra bs and teasing attached to it, it would've been way harder because we would still be wondering if he was going to do NLU or not

I am neither xenophobic nor racist. I simultaneously want the genocide to stop and also for millions of immigrants lives to not be affected in this country.

Voting third party accomplishes neither. Abstaining from voting accomplishes neither. Voting against Donald Trump was at least an attempt for one of or both of those things to happen.

Any country on this Earth would place its’ own citizens livelihoods over things that are happening in countries outside of their own. The same way you would try to save your family from a burning house before you would attempt to save the family in the house that’s burning down the street
