So my only take about him and Ye’s boycott is that they are both self serving. If these niggas actually won consistently, I doubt they would be on that wave. But maybe I’m wrong

ofc dumbass its still a boycott

i think its more of a back handed compliment

like nigga i run ur company i keep the lights on OFC ur not dropping me, all of her loss was filled with jabs at UMG even down to major distribution

    lets not misinterpret the bars

Lucian and me are just like Kobe and Shaquille but we never even chill and that's the reason going independent it just never had my appeal

Now that I think more about it, Kendrick had the opportunity to do something super left field and revolutionary. But he lost the plot trying to make Drake look bad.

How awesome couldn’t have been for him to perform Hiipower?

Ehhhhh I mean hiiipower is a top 5 Kendrick song for me and it’s the first Kendrick song I ever heard so while that would have hit for me personally, I still wouldn’t advise him to play old deep cuts in the sb show

I think performing an unreleased song and avoiding most if not all of your biggest hits is pretty left field?

He doesn’t run the company or keep the lights on though. He’s one of the biggest artists on the label for sure and gets special privileges and opportunities but no one artist is bigger than the program.

Performance was great, audio issues aside
Only ppl mad r crakkkas and drake stans

I dont think drake is referring to kobe and shaq’s beef and moreso referring to their success as one of nba’s best duos of all time hence why he adds going independent never had an appeal hence he is highlighting why he enjoys his current situation with lucian

As a fellow writer I assumed you knew that

Drake does not keep the lights on at UMG. No single artist does.

so what was the meaning behind the game theme of the performance? kendrick's life is like a video game ?

    He beat the game

eh also it was a easy kill meek type slow asf and couldnt even finish the song becuase he was perked up

imo drake shoulda kept the "i dont respond to beef" thing and stayed the corny guy but after meek and then pusha it was over nigga became a f***ing maifoso don

In retrospect Meek never had a chance but at the time Meek was really that nigga! He wasnt as big as Drake but he was viewed as a real street nigga that narrative alone coulda won the beef not to mention bro had reference tracks and still lost bad, like that was actually a great battle fought on Drake’s part.

Meek performance in that battle was terrible! Imagine if Kendrick or Push got them reference tracks in 2014 they woulda went crazy.

But now Kendrick is doing what he’s supposed to as far as beef goes, just like Drake. This isn’t for some ultimate bigger minded s***, in a rap beef u bleed a nigga he bleeding that nigga. Game over!

its killing me tbh you can go through my post history well before this beef ive always had a problem with kendricks industry allignemnet and ive even gone as far to calling him "coondrick" for his constant support of the grammys throughout the years. i think all of this started in 2017 when sza and hov were the most nominated guests of ever and got 0 awards while kendrick swept per usual, but lost aoty to taylor. its always been the disconnect for me and his music, when i saw him in handcuffs on the stage for the grammys while drake and ye was protesting i knew what it was, and that handshake confirmed it all for me unfortunately. i love dot, i bump gnx hey now say now, but I gotta call the spade a spade man

    Getting yo years mixed up

It’s not for the greater good is the point he was saying

Here we f***ing go bruh yall niggas acting like the greater good isn’t sometimes motivated by personal gains

Drake and Kanye was tired of rap not getting properly represented at the Grammys. Also bro cmon man how are you the male taylor swift and only got 5 Grammys. How the f*** bad built childish gambino got the same amount of Grammys as you? Just because u don’t perform

I really think everyone is very obtuse about this Grammys s***. Now if Kendrick was the one with 5 Grammys and Drake the industry darling yall swear he is has 20+ it wouldn’t make sense at all

bro if you niggas really think that was 2 years

    meek started it with drake

also people are gonna post that ovo fest footage of him performing it.... literally a week after the song came out

worst he did was def snl hahaha that was corny, but that s*** stopped there and they made up. shortly after that we got HLB and WATTBA so yea

but giving NLU 5 grammys, record and song of the year while lucien grainge and dr dre dap it up in the crowd... if this is what yall wanted! yall got it

With the snl stuff tho he changed the lyrics and pointed the fun at himself for being sensitive he had to diss all the staff, which was pretty creative at least

Dont nobody wanna hear a f***ing j cole beat at the superbowl

I think 50 cent said it best. The label and Lucien did everything Drake said they did, but they also did it for him. That’s why I think the lawsuit is some sucker s***

Recover how tho? Only place it’s getting any bad opinions about it is twitter lol. Facebook, celebs, YouTube and Tik Tok it’s mostly praise

That’s my thing .. niggas talk about boycotting the Grammys like it’s some big stance when it’s only being done because these nigags felt like they played the game and should’ve won but didn’t lol. People hate on the Grammys but still support the industry.

I havent watched a single grammy show since 2012

You can actually look i havent made a single comment about Kendrick’s grammies this year

This like 1 of the few things we both agree on. (The grammies is wack)
