For starters, to even halfway humor what he’s saying… This isn’t some one off incident that can be chalked up to a mistake that’s the first problem. I believe in giving genuine people the opportunity to right fixable wrongs but there is no way to fix anything that he’s done. He’s a serial predator.
2. It’s not up to me, him, or any of the other spectators on if he should be forgiven. That’s up to the victims. It’s disrespectful to them alone just alluding that he should be forgiven. That’s putting pressure on people who owe him no forgiveness to forgive him because the public likes his music.
3. He was already given a second chance he never deserved. This man was caught in 4K before 4K was a thing and it basically got swept under the rug. He had a very very successful career despite the world knowing what a nasty ass mf he was. If not for more progressive movements, he’d still be getting away with it with no remorse.
Again, I understand having empathy for people who make a mistake, something you can grow from, something that can be fixed overtime, accountability can be held, there isn’t significant irreplaceable damage. This is by far not one of those cases.
