NWTS MICKIMO 40 told him he needs a certain amount of time to mix because he probably didn't love the last minute changes to Scorpion. And I feel like Drake just gets antsy and has to say something to the fans.
Don't think he's really waiting on any releases. Just me tho
Yeah, mixing must take a while. And imo he should restart the era with a new single or 2 with videos and all.

Scorpion was long and I never really went back to CD2. It's just not for me.
Someone like Drake should pick 10-12 great songs and drop it. No filler. If someone can do it, it's him.

and i disagree with the second part, i think the songs that get put on the album are just released because Drake wanted them to be part of the body of art. maybe you're right though

yea now that i think about it it would've been better. it's great to get 12 songs we wouldn't have gotten if he just dropped the 13 best songs but it would be best if all the attention that went towards the album went towards just the better half

More is better is a weird idea when we’re talking about a body of work. Sometimes it’s better to be clear and concise than to fit every idea into one project. Even if he had a 15 song track list it wouldn’t be a short album.
