NWTS (drake at his artistic peak imo with gorgeous beats, best mix of rapping and singing and its own soundscape. Has some of the best beat switches oat)
IYRTITL (every drake haters fav drake album because hes rapping hard s*** for most of the album. It is great though)
TAKE CARE (Drake returning to Toronto and really finding his own after his debut album TML which was more major label influenced)

I think some people want Drake to buy it like everyone else does and I don’t think they realize he mentally passed that part of his career during the Take Care era.

Creatively I’d put that s*** up against any goat album

It’s a tad longer than some great albums and it has a slow pace but if you are patient you’ll be amazed

Id say Take Care NWTS and IYRTITL are possibly the best 3 run in rap history without a doubt, all amazing pieces of work

I think it’s the opposite. I think people KNOW he’s an album artist which is why they are perplexed at his recent output. Views, More Life, and Scorp all have some great moments and stand out songs but as bodies of work they are really scattered compared to TC, NWTS, and even IYRTITL

People want him to return to a more focused sound for an album, and by people I mean me

They act like that bc the world runs on the “what have you done for me lately?” principle

They look at his recent releases and judge him as an artist based on that
