  • Just realized Drake has 11 albums officially out and this will the 12th

I count anything that is for sale and on all platforms as an album.

Crazy to see his career go from free mixtapes to this far

  • May 2, 2020

I think he'll wait til the very end of the summer and drop on 9/11 like The Blueprint and Graduation

  • May 2, 2020

I think he'll drop it late August - Early September

no mentions of this on dark lane, must be saving it for something album related.

At least one of the songs took shape in a boot camp of sorts. Producer Foregin Teck tells Complex that back in January 2019, Drake had “about 10 producers” working in a secluded house in Los Angeles for about three weeks. Teck remembers himself, “Toosie Slide” beatmaker OZ, Sevn Thomas, Boi-1da, DRTWRK, Audi, Vinylz, and Jahaan Sweet. Out of those sessions came the Rick Ross and Drizzy duet “Gold Roses,” as well as Dark Lane standout “Losses.” In fact, it was “Gold Roses” that set the tone for the sessions.

“In the beginning, he kind of let us do our thing,” Teck tells us when Complex catches up with him just minutes after Dark Lane’s release. “And then, I remember the ‘Gold Roses’ beat was made, and he's like, ‘Yo, I need more s*** like this.’ Once he started hearing the slow beats, very simple, with vocal chops, that caught his ear.”

we getting a lot of Losses, Gold Roses type records on this album

in the RapRadar interview he said Gold Roses was one of the verses he's most proud of too

We may yet hear more from those L.A. sessions. Teck tells Complex that he was told Drake cut a third track from the music created there, “but none of us heard it.”

Can’t wait til this new album flops critically so he can stop caring about foolish things like ‘critical acclaim’

Isn't this album called Lucky number 6? He mentioned it at the end of the post where he announced his mixtape

I think he just meant it was his sixth album and that’s his “lucky” number (all the 6 associations)

I love how confidence he is about this one

Feel like the most he’s been about a project in a min definitely in a good headspace

Main reason why I think it’ll be his best album, he’s really proud of this one

  • Thinking Drake gonna let demo tapes run as long as possible the start an album rollout in August, with the album releasing either late August or early September
