CampariI could tell The Boy was onto something when I heard the opening chords of Champagne Poetry. He has the entire world tuning in to the most hyped album of the year and he opens up with an abstract melodic melody like that. Subtle drums just plucking away mixed with calm and smooth raps, just smooth with it like milk & honey the way he flows on such an opulent beat. The production sounds so nostalgic yet romantic, like you’re seeing two cupids vibing. I am looking forward to seeing this project age, I feel like there’s a lot of layers that need to be unpacked.
