Tbf i had to run to the corner shop and that was the only song i listened to in the Car instead of my headphones, and his verse sound terrible

They main problem of this albums is the mixing, the music sounds like s*** because of it. Most of these songs would be 8s or better with good mixing

I was really looking forward to CLB, but it’s really just not as great as I was expecting.

I always felt Drake’s projects have been rushed in some capacity, especially his recent ones.

I thought with COVID, no touring, and having his ACL torn, he would have had enough time to sit down and spend a lot of time to finish this album.

And maybe he did spend a lot of time on this,
But it’s still not good.

It has me thinking…

Maybe he doesn’t need more time,
Maybe he just lacks the skills to make a good album?

This should have been his magnum opus,
He had all the time in the world.
And it’s literally just another Drake album…

Disappointed.

What is up with the mixing on this project?
The vocals take up like 80% of the mix, I can’t hear the actual music at all on my AirPod Maxs.

Still really early but I’ve been hooked since first listen. As I’ve said earlier, may be favourite album since NWTS since Views and Big Scorp didn’t really hit the heights, personally.

Production is amazing. Energy, lyricism witty and effortless on most tracks if not all. CLB the most confident I’ve seen him since then too (studio album wise). I think I’ll be able to gauge even better the more I listen to it.
