Why are critics so harsh on this? I thought it was excellent and it surprised me in a good way. Nigga did well. I had low expectations though

N 2 Deep finna be one of his best album cuts. Like top 3

i feel like, personal theory, the original idea of CLB was going to be the album spanning over different parts of his career addressing each of the sounds from different albums, which is why back in Jan he had that ad which suggested this, and that song was from around Views/More Life era. Something happened and he clearly redid a lot of the album but kept that song, since it's definitely known the album was redone

yeah that's a good point. i do think in a way Lotta 42 (Love All) and Intoxicated (Race My Mind) do kind of sound like certain eras though? Idk if i'm just overthinking it, but i feel like those tracks could have been NWTS era? especially love all w/ jay-z being a pound cake reference or something
