Drizzy the biggest artist, and he gets looooaaaddsss of hate. It's like that every project
Every time I hear fair trade I think it’s going to cut off at the beginning like the snippet
I mean I think it’s very good, but I guess I’m a bit biased
I wouldn’t go in expecting anything overly innovative from it, he certainly plays to his strengths here but I don’t think that is necessarily a bad thing - it is a very Drake Drake album if that makes sense
(Although IMY2 is definitely an untapped sound for him and is great, maybe my favourite track. Very glad him & Cudi patched things up, that track is super heartfelt and is a certainly a new kind of sound for Drake)
Production is lush, textured and typically Drizzy, in a lot of spots it feels like a modernised NWTS which is good
Although it does suffer, ironically, from some of the same problems DONDA does. Definitely could have been trimmed down a bit, a few unnecessary tracks here, especially that f***ing joint with 21 Savage that sounds straight out of Savage Mode II sessions, doesn’t really belong here. That’s a pretty common complaint with him thought post-2016, he always tries to cover too much ground and subsequently do his projects sometimes feel a bit disjointed in places and the tracklist isn't very cohesive
For me, I love when he works over those slow-moving, bass-heavy, sample echoey beats and there is an abundance of those here - In the Bible, Love All, TSU, The Remorse (excellent outro) - so I’m pretty happy
Much like anything though, let’s see how it ages. Views was pretty lukewarm for me initially but it’s aged amazingly and one of my favourite albums from him. This is certainly a return to form in most senses though, the craftsmanship and care here is apparent

Same people who booed him off stage on the carnival. Really people think that music needs to be an intricate art experience and that their musif taste is the one that ia refines and needs to be followed smh
The first 24 hours of any popular album getting released is way too corny nowadays
Glad we are almost out the gutters
Maybe I’m just seeing the negative ass people on my timeline but Jesus Christ people acting like this the worst album to drop this year lmfao
I’ve seen the exact opposite lowkey
