The reason why he played Life of the Party was to show Kanye that:
1. He had the song Kanye had in the tuck and planned on dropping.
2. He had already released an album which has a song that contains direct responses to his bars on that song.
3. He's baiting him and waiting for him to try something else.

That's why Drake played Life of the Party first, followed by 7am on Bridle Path. Him playing No Friends in the Industry after that was another message to Kanye that he couldn't trust those around him.
