I understand during that period Drizzy had to distance himself because people are smooth brained, but to completely severe ties.
One thing that got me f***ed up is that Drake squashed with Meek yet QM is probably still f***ed up.

Higher ups knew it was no big deal. Why so many others big artists was quiet? They all doing the exact same thing, which is no problem. Stupid people jumped on it because they thought they had something on Drake, because he was becoming so powerful.

Your second point (other big artists) is something I also found pretty odd. Surely they knew what Meek pushed was false.

I guess they just wanted to have a smear campaign against Drake, but he survived and became even stronger.

They worded it wrong with "ghost writer" from the beginning. That was for shock value.
In the end what Quentin did was just a collaborative effort with Drake. Drake took bits and pieces but what he delivered is just what is part of his artistry. Thats why Drake is who he is. There is a lot to being a great artist. Creating music not a one-man show. Thats why most artists have stayed quiet too. Nobody does everything by themselves. It was blown out of proportion. Many people was just thirsty to jump on him and hate.
Feel sorry for Quentin. Could have had a job working with different artists for years and been a producer/co-writer for many artists.

I think this album is OK. Not amazing but not trash at all. Better than Scorpion but not as good as NWTS. To me this is just as good as Donda. Might be a little more enjoyable.
