ā€œ Call it dumb yet it comes from a reputable source on KTT2. Do you know who vietbrah is? Well he’s followed by Oliver and Noel on Twitter. Calling things dumb before doing the proper research makes your entire statement ironic.ā€

Brah Drake does not get 20% of Abel’s royalties for a finders fee lol that’s insane. Where exactly did this rumor start

I think hypeee said it on ktt1 back in like 2016 tbh

Hypee been known to be full of s*** on occasion

I’m not saying that there was never any finders fee at all (particularly when u consider Abel was originally in talks to be signed under Cash Money) but 20% to this day would be insane

More likely that there was a lump sum paid out from Republic’s end if anything. Even then idk

The finders fee is usually on your first album or two if im not mistaken. 20% is high but its not really crazy given the typical range is 10-15% from what ive read

Would be insane if it’s actually true. I doubt it would come out of Abel’s end but regardless it’s still a very ā€œYou’re my sonā€ thing to hold over somebody’s head throughout their career lol

Where do these Weeknd subs even stem from? I feel like he's been supportive of him for the most part since War dropped and even last year was saying he got snubbed by the grammys. I wouldn't consider posting the SB performance on his IG story an indication that they fw each other though, more just like a damn the city made it to the SB

Would it be in perpetuity tho for those 1 or 2 albums? I wouldn’t think so but could be for a decade+ I guess
