SlymemanAlthough I heavily disagree with Fantano, I think he did have some valid criticisms in his review. How are you gonna say you have no friends in the industry when based on your feature list you clearly do?
Idk I just agree that I’m a little over Drake talking about that topic.
I think overall I am disappointed with this album. I still really like it, but it isn’t really the leap forward I was expecting after Scorpion. There’s a lot of great s*** on here for sure that I’ll be playing for a long time, but it doesn’t live up to the consistency or cohesiveness of NWTS and IYRTITL.

That said, I agree the fact that this feels like same old Drake is disappointing. The listening experience was honestly boring with this, especially with it supposed to be in competition with something as explosive and grand as Donda. But there are some really good songs here, project isn't unredeemable.
Like I said earlier, if dude is going to remain so stagnant I'd rather just not get another project. I hate seeing him get dragged the way he is, but hopefully it's motivation to stop bullshitting with the music. He's capable of so much more.

Yeah I think that’s what’s disappointing to me. Drake is clearly super talented but he’s revisiting things when I just would be interested in hearing him move on.
Granted, it’s his music so he can do whatever he wants and talk about whatever he wants. I just wanna hear that next chapter for him in his sound.

It just makes it harder to take the song seriously I guess.
Y’all gotta have a little bit of kayfabe when listening to rap music. And as someone that ain’t tryna be friends with their coworkers that s*** slaps

Yeah but that's more like a label pushing yall together as coworkers. I thought majority of his features as people he genuinely likes to work with lol. A lot of these guys he's worked and hanged with before.

He needs a break man. Some good songs on here ofc but other times it sounds like he’s phoning it in and just following a formula (Fountains) You can hear the fatigue.
He’s 34 with a kid but still lives like he’s 26 and it reflects in some of the contents of the lyrics. I’ve always believed that art is a direct reflection of the life you’re living, and it’s starting to feel like Drake is just used to everything now
