This is easily his worst album rollout lol. I was fine and actually supporting it dropping in 2021, because of the fact landscape wise its a better time to push music. However....
1. We have had 1 song and nothing 5 months later
2. The features going into this era are underwhelming and forgettable. Features tend to elevate the hype for his album eras. We had F***in Problems/No New Friends/etc going into NWTS. We had Work/Where Ya At/etc going into Views. We had Look Alive/Yes Indeed/Walk It Talk It going into Scorpion.
We have You're Mines and Mr. Right Now going into this...
3. He also sort of botched the release of CLB merch and Nocta merch imo. CLB's merch drop was very off the radar and the puffer jacket not being released was a DUB. Also made no sense to drop the album merch so far out from the actual album release. Nocta could had more hype... like commercials, pop-up stores, something.
The easiest thing he can do to get the album hype back on track is the next single is an instant smash/connect with everyone. I just don't want him to drop a song that is weak after all this bad planning cause then it's really gonna be weird going into this album release lol.
If he dropped another I'm Upset/Summer Sixteen type fluke right before the album I'd be pissed.

Constructive criticism about how you view the rollout isn't acting spoiled lmao.
Dark Lane Demo Tapes literally had a better rollout going into it.
Life Is Good & No Guidance were some of his GOAT features, the leaks and supposed Future/Roddy/Carti collabs had even non-fans excited, and Toosie was still hot and viral. Chicago/When to Say When/War were also some of his most acclaimed songs of the past 5 years when they dropped.
DLDT rollout legit s*** on this rollout

Wait how was Summer Sixteen a fluke? It wasn't meant to be a single and everyone generally liked it when it came out.

You called this one of his worst rollouts like.... bruh relax. Since when have we started judging album rollouts? Nigga I just want the album.
I also understand the circumstances around this rollout, I imagine its not easy to navigate through when he prolly had plans pre-covid
Also people who keep saying theres no ''hype'' while simultaneously postin in a album thread got me crine every time. When hes ready to drop that ''hype'' will be right back

I'm discussing the rollout.... because that is the only thing we can discuss right now.
That's the point. There is NOTHING going on.
yall gotta relax
Damn everyone’s losing their damn minds & I forgot we’re supposed to be getting this album this month
He should push it back

TONIGHT
I really hope Drake’s face is on the album cover, hopefully it’s get a beautiful painting like NWTS
Edit: I hope we get a Red/velvet color scheme for this project

Understand completely. I feel like he was going to drop it certain times it kind of changed his mind about it . LNCL I hope isn’t even on the album anymore . Song a banger but as long as it been I can do without it. The merch dropping this early kind was like eh too . He trying to wait until the world is back normal normal and that’s not happening no time soon. He know the industry moves around him so it is what it is . But he needs to say something if it doesn’t drop this month . He owes us that especially after summer 2020 so ppl mind can be at ease . I’m still excited either way for it . Just hope it is a masterpiece as long as it been

The merch part makes no sense considering the s***s sold out instantly. Nocta especially was perfect. So many dope shots of influencers and celebs in the s*** too. Also, it's not really part of the rollout
CLB just should've been closer to the album release.

Only point here I’d argue on is the merch
One CLB jacket dropping isn’t making up for whatever you felt about the drop
NOCTA drop went as good as it can go? The video was the commercial and billboards went up in more than a handful of major cities IIRC
Pop up shops? Promoting COVID spread to sell merch? Nah lol
I think Drake realized that the “Drake Fatigue” was real towards the end of 2020 and is just letting some time pass. People are starving for new Drake music and he’s only been gone for a few months. Watch his next single be a smash hit that does crazy/ potential record breaking numbers. He needed to go off the radar for a bit
Mfs be concerned about a Drake rollout but don’t wanna ROLL OUT of bed and just live their life
I can feed a country with the tax that I paid govts
It’s even more fire when you realize that Ireland is a well known tax haven for the rich.
Everybody get real antsy once Drake stop feeding the gluttonous belly lmao
Yeah we expect every rollout to feed us back to back singles and info! At least he keeps us more informed than kendrick
Everybody get real antsy once Drake stop feeding the gluttonous belly lmao
I think the issue isn't him taking a break or whatnot, it's the album being pushed back twice.
He should've never said it was coming Summer, I was fine with it not coming that soon, but there was already some people hurt lmao.
Then he literally dropped merch for the album, released a lead, AND did a trailer for the album with a January date and now that's a lie too....
You can't literally start the whole album rollout then just say 'nvm' and find it unreasonable when people complain.
It just looks messy af to have this rollout planned so weak. The takeaway from the Summer pushback should've been 'let me plan how I can do this era during COVID'.
Instead I think he was planning 'how can I do the era once COVID ends', and now that is still isn't ending, he isn't really prepared?

It’s January until it’s not, y’all just kinda decided it wasn’t dropping
