How is it not close? They're obviously strengths that Kendrick and Cole have over Drake. You're focusing way too much on the numbers and they don't tell the entire story.

I’m genuinely not sure if the majority of this has been done for a while and he’s just been sitting on it since he first announced CLB was coming last summer (when DLDT dropped), or he’s been scrapping songs and continuing to record all this time. Obviously he has been in the studio but we don’t know if he’s just in the process of recording CLB or he’s just going in whenever he’s feeling some inspiration. I don’t feel like Drake has been locked in for a while, seems to be busy in LA with other things. Which makes me wonder where exactly is a project that Noel was captioning as 90% and that was almost six months ago? I’m cool with drake taking as long as he needs but I hope we don’t lose that vibe he was working on last year with songs like Chicago, Time Flies, Sound 42, etc.

I’m sure he had a project full of songs he liked in 2020 summer but things change, stuff leaked and now he’s recording new vibes
He’s out in LA but that doesn’t mean he’s not locked in, he probably records nightly and doesn’t gram ever session
Feeling pretty good about whatever we’ll get considering it’s a long time in the making and we’ve seen he’s able to hold stuff he likes to make projects like Feel No Ways
