Havent forgot about this, was swamped today and I want to listen to this first before I send the other album if that's alright. The coverart for this is really dope.
No rush brother!

This is my next pick for you is,
Not Your Muse by Celeste (2021)
Okay. I look forward to hearing ur thoughts when u do!
I listened last night
Pros: Amazing vocals like super stupidly good, and feel like they sound pretty unique for this type of music. Very epic and large sounding.
Cons: i cant quite figure out why but not a lot of the songs grabbed me right away on first listen even if the sound they have is cool.
Favorites: Victoria, Dreamlife
Got one for you as well. Silk Rhodes Self Titled.
!https://youtu.be/w_6QVP0ql10pains - i love this i love the simplicity of it, nice & sincere lyrics.. sounds like something i would have had on repeat back in the day
face 2 face - sounding like something off of in my mind or girl very groovy, his vocals are falling a bit flat on here but besides that it’s a fantastic song 2 groove 2
we remain in our clouds, silver haze
i wonder who laurie is she seems 2 be important 2 a lot of ppl, whoever she is
realtime - beautiful music. just a nice simple song 2 vibe 2, whoever the producer is has a great ear 4 meshing smooth 2gether
barely new - lots of oh’s, whoa’s & oooooo’s, not much else 2 say lol, sometimes, feels like there’s no time
this painted world - man, i love the music on this song the most but he’s not really doing much with it almost feel like it would have been better as an instrumental here, regardless it’s nice on the ears
group 1987 - oooohhh’s & ahhhhh’s gorgeous i love it a lot
hold me down - here we go.. i knew this would be my fav just from the song title.. might have 2 send this song 2 a certain some1
really reminding me of this.. i can’t be crazy 4 thinking this
personal use - okay this groovy.. let’s see where it goes.. okay yeah this that s***, a fire ass instrumental 2 shake ya booty 2
tsss tsss tssss tssss tssssss tssssss
of course he had 2 come in at the end with those sweet harmonies, what a guy
the system - smooth, he sounds like me when i try 2 sing prince songs, not really hitting the mark but who cares if it sounds good lol..
overall i’d give this a 6.5/10, he definitely wears some of his inspirations on his sleeve, the album cover had me thinking this was gonna be something completely different but i left pleasantly surprised. can’t say i’ll be adding this 2 my rotation but it’s definitely a good time. my fav song was definitely hold me down. i appreciate u 4 sharing this with me
I respect you wanting more jazz and will get you another one soon. I want your thoughts on this record next, though.
It's 50% country, 25% pop and 25% rock

Got Wave by Patti Smith for you (if you listened to this already lmk)
Finished listening to it. It definitely was a difficult listen because she was singing to her own tune irrespective of the instruments.
Though, it Is 1979 and things were way different in how songs were constructed. Not bad, but now I am listening to Fiona Apple to further that sound or aura she was playong
My partner never gave me an album 😔

METRONOME POLE DANCE TWIST by Varnishe La Piscine
wonderful album. language is french (which I don't speak) but the music is great. let me know what you think
Had the day off today and been listening all morning, very nice album and very danceable. Seems like it might be a movie soundtrack based on the title too?
"Dirty Bossa" is very Thundercat at points which was sick, love that. Cortezz too. The mixture of english as well as french was dope, it adds an extra layer to it
I noticed there's a lot of repeat features too, it gave it a group / label album kind of vibe? It seems like Varnish is the producer
I wouldn't say I had a least favorite song but I definitely preferred the dance songs over the ones that were more trap, my favorite ones were Illusion and Cortezz
Production wise Illusion was amazing, very chill
If he's producing all of that on his own that's crazy
Idk if you've heard of the band Bloc Party but the singer sounds like him. Very different sound to what they make though
Definitely enjoyed this, funky summer vibes the dance songs were the way to go for me
Would anyone like to exchange an album
