The public reshuffling of Donda got me thinking about sequencing & narrative/concept albums.

Take GKMC, TBAP, TLOP, Yeezus for example, a lot of people see a common story within the album through track sequencing & the music itself.

But it’s common knowledge that Blood On The Leaves was going to be #1 on Yeezus. If it was, would we read the same story? Probably not. If so, can we really assume that it is meant to tell a singular story?

Just thinking whatever the final Donda track listing is, critics will probably piece together a narrative about the theme. But 2-3 weeks ago the sequence was totally different, which would have brought a different ‘conclusion’.

Finding it hard to nail down my point, I’m pretty high. I’m just saying I feel Ye letting us in to the creative process is showing us how a single piece of art can be viewed totally differently one day to the next.

Yeah sequencing is extremely important, and I think it was one of my biggest issues with LP3 (I think there were some improvements too). I’ve been listening to my own track list pieced together from the two and loving it but I’m afraid I’m gonna get so attached to it that it ruins the official album

One of the most underrated aspects of MBDTF is the sequencing. It feels so perfect it's like it's down to a science.

    Thoughts on DONDA 2?

some real heat, big fan of

    True Love
    Get Lost
    Too Easy
    Flowers
    Happy
    Keep It Burning (RIP)
    Lord Lift Me Up
First Time in a Long Time

but some massive mid, that Migos song isn’t even good at 5am IMO
