Bobby_96Ahh man....the hype surrounding the album was definitely classic.
I swear....when Weezy came out of jail, it felt like Tupac in October 95 all over again and everyone was talking about him and anticipating the album.
His songs were all over the radio and I'd even argue that Wayne slightly eclipsed his hype in 08 since Young Money was stronger.
But the actual album wasn't really a classic. It just had classic hype.
But if hype could make an album a classic, then it is one.
C4 hype was nowhere near C3. Wayne had tarnished his rep a little with Rebirth and IANAHB
