There likely wouldn't be any accessible records on it if he was. But when you have a "former" informant leading any kind of radical group, there's probably something going on there.

If you look at someone like Hal Turner, who eventually admitted to being an FBI informant in court. It wasn't discovered by obtaining his legal records, but because his email was hacked, and correspondences between him and his handler were discovered.
