I recently got my unlimited pass again for the cinema so been seeing a bunch of s***. In a span of a few weeks I got to see Poor Thing’s, Zone of Interest, Dune 2, Dream Scenario, Monkey Man & Godzilla x Kong
Really enjoying the variety of things that dropped recently
How’d you like dream scenario?

Yeah so I enjoyed that a lot, Nicolas Cage is certified by now and I respect so much of the films that he has picked to do. As much as the over the top crazy guy works for him it’s always really cool to see him in these more dramatic roles as well
It kind of didn’t lead to anything in the end sadly but the first half was def a fun time
Wbu bro

Word word l, I definitely f***ed wit it, I really like the director alot. Check out “sick of myself” if you haven’t. I’m a huge fan of surreal type movies that’s still rooted in realism and drama.

Yup I love Brazil too!
I f***ed with this movie heavy. It’s tense as hell, the cinematography is top notch and for a film with a nihilistic tone it manages to be his film with the most heart in it. You really care for the main characters and feel the intensity of their journey. Just fresh out the theater I am finding little issues to be had with it, perhaps seeing more of the issues happening outside of the void but it managed to set you in the same mindset as the characters.
9/10
dude is good at putting images together however this felt really hollow given the themes it's gesturing at . feel like i fell for a marketing campaign or something
cant criticise the film making itself but the subject matter left me a little unsatisfied with how little politics or ideas in general there ended up being here
you must have skipped men
Actually saw it twice
It’s not his best film but a miss it’s not. Disappointment? Sure. Underwhelming? Also sure. But it would still be most other filmmakers best film
this has some of the best frontline war stuff in a movie i can remember seeing ever though i was in shambles on that first run they took jessie on
& that flashback image of the man being lit up in a tire

The message is potent when you really gather it
"In the near future, a group of war journalists attempt to survive while reporting the truth as the United States stands on the brink of civil war."
This is the synopsis. What the f*** is the truth?
I was not feeling this at all. Interested in seeing everyone's opinions though.
