I think the mainstream media coverage of this is wild
Obviously the guy deserves what's coming for him 110% but he's getting major headlines as if this has heavy societal implications
It almost seems like the goal is to paint him as having a lot more influence than he actually does -- I feel like overall most people see him as clearly extremely immoral at worst and at least wacky/scatterbrained at best.
I think he's an easy scapegoat for the broad umbrella term that is "conspiracy theorists" but he's certainly a symptom and not the primary problem (or even the primary source for this content), and honestly hasn't been much of a mouthpiece for it in the past few years.
really interesting to watch unfold
I think you underestimate the influence he has

I think more people know of him and think of him with negative connotations than actively consume his content.
Even then I feel like some of the content that's in that same vein usually gets spread through platforms like 4chan and makes the stuff he says seem tame in relation.
Maybe that's ignorant of me but sometimes it feels like he's more propped up by his opponents than people who would be inclined to agree with him

A lot of political commentators are held up by hate views/watchers. Then others follow them because they make the other side seethe.
Dude is completely f***ed. He has to spend the rest of his life having his assets seized or trying to hide them.
Hope this helps the families even a tiny bit.
Alex Jones, who was streaming live when the jury’s decision was read in court, mocked the decision on his Infowars show and used it to fundraise.
Jones has said he will appeal the decision and during his Wednesday broadcast said that there “ain’t no money” to pay the massive figure the jury awarded the plaintiffs.
So he's gonna have his stuff seized go nearly bankrupt then what? Have his income seized for the rest of his life? How this work

Yeah, I think so. Take everything he has and then keep taking everything he earns in the future.
