Norwegian actor Renate Reinsve has joined Alexander Payne’s first European feature, which has been titled Somewhere Out There and is prepping for an early 2026 shoot in Denmark.

Reinsve will play a supporting role in the Danish-language film, which will be set in Denmark. Erlend Loe has written the screenplay, based on Ake Sandgren’s original idea.

Birgitte Skov will produce the film for Denmark’s Scanbox Production, with plot details still under wraps.
