I swear the first time I heard Kind of Blue this song blew my mind
That melody at 0:11 stuck in my head like some catchy pop tune would do. The only difference is.. All Blues melody actually feels great and won't make me sick and want to shake it off my head asap afterwards, like it tends to be with heavy-pop-crafted songs Even years later this part still gets me The whole album coated in this dark, noir sound which I'm sucker for. But this song especially comes as a trainwreck ride from the very start with these spooky yet not vulgar drums (prob brushes idk) and piano.

Kind of Blue is such a masterpiece i love the swing of that riff it sounds so carefree
